[Calling the Winchesters was a mistake.

Correction: calling Dean was the mistake. Sam, at least, was making an attempt to be civil, while Dean hadn't shut up from the moment she let him in to her apartment. She should have known better. Dean has always been quite capable of holding a grudge, and that ability seems to have not waned at all.

Even in front of Tyler.

Still, Bela, to her credit, maintains her cool, only firing off he occasional barb to get him to focus on the matter at hand. However, eventually the constant barrage gets to be too much, and she excuses herself back to the kitchen to pour herself a drink.

Or five.

She makes her way to the cabinets for a wine glass, before pulling out a bottle and getting ready to pour. The sooner the boys could find a way to sink Klaus, the better as far as she's concerned. She can only hopes it ends soon enough.]

[Tyler doesn't like Dean. Mostly because the guy seems like a real Dick -- or at least he is to Bela. And yeah, so maybe she doesn't have the best track record or anything but she's been trying to help him. That matters.

It's not like she owes it to him, she could have walked away any time she wanted.

So when she does finally walk away and make her way into the kitchen for a drink, Tyler follows her.]

What are we drinking?

I was thinking a nice bordeau. To start, at any rate.

[she glances back at him, before reaching for a second glass.]

Are you joining me?

[lockwood]

[He nods a little.]

Yeah, I'm thinking I am. [Pause.] So that one guy is a real ass.

[enjoythe_ride]

[She laughs slightly, before starting to go through the drawers for a corkscrew.]

He is. But he's the best and he and his brother have just enough luck going for them that they may be able to get this done without getting themselves killed in the process.

[she pauses as she finds it, before moving back to the bottle.]

And to be fair, I probably deserve most of that.

[lockwood]

I don't know about that. You've been helping me, and you sure as hell don't have to. You know the risk.

They make you out to sound like some sort of selfish bitch.

When they knew me I was. Without my interference, things might have gotten less rough for them at one point.

[she takes a long sip of her wine.]

Dean isn't really one for second chances.

[lockwood]

Well, then he and I probably wouldn't have gotten along well. I've needed a few second chances myself.

[enjoythe_ride]

So has he. It's amazing how much of a hypocrite he can be.

[only it's not.]

[lockwood]

Yeah well, there's a lot of those out there, it turns out.

True.

[she takes another sip of her wine, before glancing back towards the kitchen.]

Sam isn't so bad though. He'll keep Dean on task.

That's good, at least.

[enjoythe_ride]

[She nods.]

I'm sure your problem will be solved in no time at all.

[lockwood]

You really think it'll be that easy?

[enjoythe_ride]

Easy? No. But that simple, I think so.

[she drops her voice and moves a bit away from the door.]

We just need to be sure that they keep believing the "Klaus used a spell to bind himself to you" story, to keep them from killing him outright.

[lockwood]

[He nods a little.]

The less they know of what I really am, the better.

Exactly. Last thing we need is them deciding that you're an acceptable casualty.

[lockwood]

Yeah that's definitely something I'd like to avoid.

[enjoythe_ride]

So just keep things quiet, and hopefully they won't ask too many questions.

[lockwood]

I think I can manage that.

Good. You're also welcome to stay here again, until things are settled in Mystic Falls.

[because odds are that siccing the Winchesters on Klaus will not go over well with him.]

Probably a good idea.

Hopefully this will be cleared up sooner rather than later. They usually get down to business pretty quickly.

They don't seem like the type who like to waste time.

No, they're not. See evil, find evil vanquish evil.

We should of gotten them in Mystic Falls a long time ago. Could of saved us a whole lot of trouble.

Probably would have. I'm sure the Salvatores would have never been an issue at least.

[because honestly, in Damon versus Dean, she would put her money on Dean.]

[lockwood]

Could have saved us all some grief there. [Tyler would too. But that's mostly because he'd really like to see someone kick the Salvatores asses.]

[enjoythe_ride]

Probably. But at least they're dealing with the problem at hand.

[and who knows, maybe they'll take the Salvatores down before they leave.]

[lockwood]

There is that. If they can actually take care of Klaus then I'll be really impressed.

We'll keep our fingers crossed.

[He takes another drink of wine.]

Should we head back out there soon?

[enjoythe_ride]

Probably.

[she tops off her glass of wine before tilting the bottle towards him, a silent question of whether or not he wanted to.]

[lockwood]

[He nods. He has a feeling he might need it.]

[enjoythe_ride]

[She tops them both off, before returning the bottle to where she found it and gesturing ahead of them.]

After you.

[And he makes his way out back towards the Winchesters.]

[enjoythe_ride]

[And she follows right behind for a long night of figuring things out.]
