The last thing Rebekah remembers is being on a ship with Stefan.

But Rifts are fickle things and they act in weird ways. This time they end up in what seems to be some black and white world. There are no colors. Rebekah is no longer in the clothes she was in before but now something belonging to a time she's never lived through

"What the bl-- heck is going on here?"

Why can't she say bloody hell? Something about this is really, really eerie.

She starts walking in her uncomfortable heels, looking for Stefan.

Please let Stefan been dragged into this hell as well.

"Some sort of stasis element." It's not unheard of though for a whole town to be in such a state was a little unusual.

He nods in agreement. "Or maybe people just ... haven't figured out how to move forward yet. Maybe they like things the way they are."

"I can kind of see why they would," She admits after a moment. "Everything does seem rather simple here."

He nods in agreement. "But simple doesn't always mean it's happening for good reasons. Mystic Falls might be considered simple by some people too."

Rebekah's eyebrows raise slightly at that before she nods in agreement. "True enough. Simple isn't always inherently good."

Stefan nods slowly, taking everything in, before glancing over to her with a small smirk. "Want to do some ... covert investigating?"

Rebekah smirks in return.

"What do you have in mind?"

"Want to do some good ol' fashioned detective work? We might be able to find out more faster if we work together."

"Sounds like it could be fun"

"Perfect," he says with a nod. "We'll just have to find a place to stay in case this takes longer than a day." Or it's longer than a day before the rift snatches them up again.

"I'm sure we'll find someplace." If nothing else that can compel someone to allow them to stay in their home -- assuming compulsion still works here, of course.

Stefan nods as he glances around, and personally? He's hoping that it does. It's not like they suddenly fell through and found themselves with wallets full of cash. "Alright. Let's have a look around."

She finishes off her milkshake before getting up, offering him her hand. "Hopefully we'll be able to find something useful."

"Let's go." And off they go to wander and find themselves a nice hotel for the evening. It's definitely fifties style, but it'll at least give them somewhere comfortable to stay while they figure things out.
