Allison's wandering the corridors, getting used to the feel of the place. She teases Five about how this is much cooler than traveling by briefcase, and he is less then pleased about it. But it's enough for him to leave her alone and let her wander.
Where she actually comes to a stop is the library, her fingers trailing over the edges of the books. So many familiar tomes, in editions that she never thought she would get her hands on. She reaches for one, starting to pull it off the shelf, when she hears footsteps and snapped back, like she's caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
For the most part, Nate is the one who uses the library the most, but with so many new visitors (one of which Ava keeps arguing with, something about his organization vs hers) it makes sense some would wander around and be curious.
And besides...he's not blind. Allison is beautiful. He's seen a lot of her movies, but seeing her in person? It's totally different.
He smiles, shaking his head. "No need to apologize, it's nice to have a new face in here."
"This collection is really impressive. I was noticing the first editions."
Reginald had a few of those too, growing up. Pieces he held on to that held more value to him than anything else. Aside from a rigid work ethic, an appreciation for the written word is something he managed to past down to his children, whether they wanted it or not.
"I'm Allison, by the way. Your name is Nate, right?"
She tried to pay attention when introductions were happening, but it was a lot of new names in a very short span.
"I may have swiped a few of those myself, I couldn't resist."
Nate doesn't steal from their adventures as often as Mick does but sometimes he comes across a book or artifact he can't resist. It happens to all of them, to some extent.
"I am. You know, I used to be a huge fan of your music."
Or maybe he still was, but he's trying to play it cool. Probably failing, but trying.
That is not what Allison expecting, but she smiles all the same. It's always welcoming to know she has a fan, even if it's on a time ship hurtling through space.
"Thank you. Though it's been a while since I've actually got to make any."
Her hand comes up to rest against the back of her neck. She hasn't tried singing, really singing, since her injury. Singing along to the radio in the hair salon doesn't really count. She can't help but wonder if her voice will still be the same, or if her instrument will be broken the way Vanya's was when they left 2019.
Zari isn't even looking at Diego as he steps into the engine room. She doesn't even know what she's doing here, but her spidey sense was tingling enough to know that someone was poking at a ship part they weren't supposed to poke at. She does too much work already to keep this ship running and not exploding as they travel through time.
As she turns around to see exactly what Diego is poking at, she becomes especially adamant.
"Not unless you want to start reliving the next hour over and over again like a terrible movie that is a poor excuse for a romantic comedy."
Nate finally made her watch it. She really doesn't understand why Groundhog Day is such a classic. Andie McDowell deserved better than Bill Murray, but that's just her opinion.
The ship sure as hell beats a briefcase, as far as time traveling goes. Five doesn't agree, and has been voicing that very loudly during his fights with Ava but Diego thinks so. It was so cool he had to poke around to see more of it.
Curiousity got the best of him.
But he knows when to listen, despite popular belief, and he takes a few steps back.
Zari will now turn around to face him, taking him in carefully. She knows enough about the Umbrella Academy to put names to faces. At some point, they were involved in the fight against ARGUS, because 10/1 kids wound up in just as much trouble as metahumans, but she's never seen one of the original seven, up close and personal.
"Diego, right?" Yes. Play it cool. Don't be a fan.
