"Allison is still in Gotham. Luke and Alfred helping to research could help too. We need all the resources we can get. I just don't know how much time we have." And they can't time travel -- well Five can but he doesn't have the best track record there.

"Okay. You call your sister, I will reach out to our allies. Maybe Kara. This sounds like we could probably use someone who's a little indestructible."

They don't know what this machine is but Cisco also said something about samurais, so she's not going to take any chances.

"We should get Barry involved too, another scientist on hand would be helpful, not to mention a speedster."

Laurel nods in agreement, and swaps text threads. "Cisco may have gotten more from his vibe. Maybe the two of them can put their heads together to figure out some of the tech."

"We'll need as many heads together as possible. If I know my dad, he has contingency plans."

And whatever this is, it feels big. In a bad sort of way. It's always bad when it comes to Reginald Hargreeves.

"Is there anyone we can put on your dad? Distract him if possible?" The more they can keep Reginald's attention away from what they're doing, maybe the more likely they'll be able to get in and figure out what they need to know.

"I dunno, it's risky. We might be putting them in danger. The safest bet might be Five, he could blink himself out of trouble." Five won't want to be on distraction duty, is the problem. "I know Klaus has gotten closer to him lately."

She nods slowly. "If they've been getting closer, how much trust is he putting in him? Your brother is ... he takes people at face value a lot." Klaus isn't the most suspicious. She would worry about him putting too much trust in Hargreeves.

"That was my concern too. I don't want to put Klaus in danger. He wants to believe dad can change." He can't blame him for that really, for wanting a parent who actually cares about them.

No, Laurel can't either. "I think Five is the better option. Unless you think Allison can rumor him quickly to get the information you want." Laurel doesn't often advocate for that particular aspect of Allison's abilities, but maybe with Hargreeves they should make an exception.

Then she has a secondary thought. "Can he be rumored? Or did he find a way around it when you were kids?"

"She could try, but it's risky. I think Five is the best option, he thinks like dad, and he can get himself out of there."

He also doesn't know honestly if his dad can be rumored. He probably found a way around it.

"Okay. Then you call Five, and I will touch base with Cisco and then we'll rally the troops." She reaches over and places her hand on his shoulder gently. "We'll deal with this and handle whatever your dad puts in front of us. We're on your team."

"I just knew it was a bad sign when we came back and Dad was alive again. I knew it." He hates being this right though. He brings his hand up to cover hers. "Thank you though. We'll need all the help we can get."

"Did you guys ever figure out why he was?" Laurel squeezes his hand gently. "We know a butterfly had to be stepped on in the past, but do you know what it was?"

"Probably talking to him in the past, I imagine. It seemed like a good idea at the time, I knew he was up to something, but maybe I was too hasty. I didn't think it would change things this much."

But Diego gets very tunnel visiony when it comes to his dad.

She nods slowly, before shrugging. "Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact. But you couldn't have known that this would be the end result."

"No, but I should have expected something. Bastard always is up to something." Five had warned him about interfering too much with their father but Diego had tunnel vision at times.

"At least we have a heads up"

"We do." She gives his shoulder a squeeze before stepping away. "Now let's call in the cavalry."

A few hours later, reinforcements have been called, and they're waiting for them to all gather where they need them. Laurel comes back into the room with a heavy sigh as she does.

"I talked to Cisco - he thinks he could open a portal to the place he saw once we're ready to go investigate."

"Do you feel ready? There might be no going back once we head over there." Because his dad might have plans for them crossing over, it's hard not to be sure. But they're not on their own. Five is distracting their dad right now which should buy them some time.
