"Pirates? That sounds fun." Diego is kind of between crews right now, but that's okay. He has a sending stone so he can talk to Allison, as she's the one who has really put herself out there in the public.
She raises an eyebrow at that, because where is his cleric brother when Diego is off getting himself killed. But she can't really talk because she's currently putting a lot of distance between herself and her own sibling at the moment.
"The Raven Queen." And that's the most he'll say on that. Klaus is a very powerful grave cleric, and he and Allison have done a lot to keep Klaus and Victor away from people who would abuse their powers.
"Oh, wow." She considers for a moment, because that's a lot. "The Raven Queen is tough. I've never been good with the idea that Fate is Fate and there's nothing you can do."
"I don't think my brother does great with it either, honestly." Klaus and the Raven Queen don't always see eye to eye about things. But he's a pretty eccentric cleric in general.
She nods because she understands that. "In theory, you don't have to agree with everything your god does. I mean, Kord is a lot about strength and power, but it's about how you use your power. I follow him because I believe that if you see someone misusing their power, you should do something about it. Maybe she resonates for your brother in a similar way."
"I follow Kord too," He says with a small smile. "Not the same way a cleric does but his values always spoke to what's important to me." Because you should stop people who use their power for the wrong things.
"I think that's the important thing about faith. Especially when there's so many gods out there. You find the things that resonate with you, and you stick with them." Though that admission does make her more comfortable. A follower of Kord isn't about to throw his strength around to intimidate her.
"I have a lot of siblings and I think we all follow different gods, I guess that shows how different we all are." And no, Diego is not the type to try to throw his strength around. She's safe from that.
"Huh." She nods slowly as she considers that. "My family has always followed Kord, though I think we all have different reasons for it. But my brother and I travel a lot more than our parents do. And I'm the only one who's an actual cleric."
"My siblings and I were all adopted, so maybe that's why we've always had differing beliefs. Our mother encouraged us to follow who spoke to us. Klaus is the only cleric though." Grace was not an ordinary mother, but she doesn't need to know that.

Not that she minds when it's for the right people, mind. But she has no idea if these pirates are the right people yet.
"But the captain has a good reputation for only engaging in the good kind of piracy, so at least there's that."

"My brother is a cleric, but he never complains when we do dumb shit."
Probably because Klaus does the dumbest stuff imaginable. He hasn't seen his brother in a long time.
"At least she has a good reputation."

"Who's he a cleric of?"
Just out of professional curiosity.
